I just got to thinking this morning that my car never left the garage on Saturday or Sunday. I wasn't sick, but just enjoyed the quiet. I read some, played a few games on the computer, did a little bit of chorus work, watched some Hallmark movies, etc.
Our gas prices did raise about a dime in a few days. It's now $1.69 in Rochester. I heard them say this morning on the news that last year on this date it was $3.09. So I guess we better not complain.
I talked to Aunt Liz on Saturday and she was doing very well. She was about to go up to the grocery store and then back home to stay out of the wind and cold.
My chorus is planning a Valentine's Day Tea. It will be in the afternoon from 2 - 4 PM. I am on the planning committee, so have been busy with that. We are planning on having a silent auction, some $1 grab bags, beverages and sweets, and of course some great singing. It will be at the church where we rehearse so that part makes it easier as we are familiar with the fellowship hall, and that is where our risers are stored. I think it will be fun.
Also, that night at 7:30 PM, my concert choir sings at the Mayo Civic Center. It will be a full day for me, but also a lot of fun.
