Twins game at the New stadium

It is April 3rd in Minnesota and my friend Sharon and I went to the new Target Field Stadium in downtown Mpls. It is beautiful. We parked at the Mall of America for free and took the Light rail all the way to just outside the stadium. We went early so we would have time to look around.

Our seats were on the second level, but it wasn't real steep or high up. We were on the left side of the third base line. The big screen was really neat. All of the screens are so vivid and bright.

The Murals around the stadium are so neat. Also the stone on the exterior comes from quarries around Mankato, MN.

The game started at 1:10 pm and we were in the sun. The forecast was for about 54 degrees and windy, mostly sunny. I wore a long sleeve blouse, slacks, a jacket with pockets so I didn't need a purse. I did remember to bring my sunglasses. It actually was quite warm thru the first four innings. Then the sun moved around enough so we were in the shade. It was just right. We could see how the wind was blowing because of the flags, but we were not getting any wind. Some of the people they were showing on the big screen were all bundled up in blankets and stocking hats.

There was a really nice young boy who sat next to us. He had been to the first game last night with his dad. He knew everything there was to know about the stadium and baseball. I think he was maybe 12/13 year old.

It was a very fun day!
