It was certainly a fun, fall get-together with family and friends. It was fun watchng Pat decorate the table on friday while I was making the Pumpkin Bars and starting the Chicken Noodle Soup. She totally enjoys herself while decorating the table and it was certainly beautiful.
I also just enjoyed the leisurely day with Aunt Liz. Then Linda came and next Diane. The three of us had the most wonderful guided tour of Willernie on the Patty Wagon. It was a gorgeous day and Pat has a wonderful way of making the most of the tour. I hope my kids and grand kids can make it up there sometime in the next year to take this tour.
Our dinner was very good. Denny happened to come just in time for dinner. Almost like Tony Dadey used to do.
Saturday was another beautiful day. Traveling down Hwy 61 and stopping in Red Wing, Wabasha, LaCreasant and on to Canton and Preston. Each stop was something fun.

Lots of great memories were made.
We need to plan something for the
holidays!

Yes, to both of Diane's comments. Let's plan to get together more often!
Janet, your entries are wonderful! I loved your chicken noodle soup and pumpkin bars. Wish I could have taken the tour of Willernie. I'll have to make reservations! :-)
Janet, I still need the recipe for your soup. It looks so good!
Janet, I found your blog by googling Tony Dadey. Your blog was fun to read, especially about the Patty bus touring Willernie.
Currently I host a webpage called "our mahtomedi visions.com" It would be an honor to have you write and submit a picture about something that has grabbed you living in either Mahtomedi or Willernie.
I am currently working on a piece about Tony Dadey who I met as a junior high kid in 1978 when he visited Melvin Lodahl. I went looking for his house on Dartmoor but I think that basement with a roof on that he lived in is torn down. It must've been fun to dine with Tony and hear his stories. Unfortunately his shadow boxes are gone from the town library now.
It sure would be great to hear from you as someone who knew this interesting man.
