No excusses, just staying busy!
* Sept. 25 - 26th I attended a music school at a beautiful church camp north of Alexandria. It was called Mt Carmel. We had an International faculty teach the class.
* The following Wed. (30th) my friend and chorus assistant director, Carol, had surgery for Ovarion Cancer. I spent a lot of time at Methodist Hospital with her and her sisters. One of her sisters lives in Spooner, WI and the other three live in Buffalo, MN. I learned a lot during this time with her. She went back to Buffalo on Monday and I went to stay with her for a few days.
One thing I learned was that my Grandmother had Ovarion Cancer.
* Carol had her first round of Chemo on Oct. 28th. She had an allergic reaction to the first kind, so they had to flush it out and try a different kind the next day. She comes back this coming Wed. for the second round of what sounds like six times in all.
* October was busy, with spending one Sat. with my family at Scandia. A good time was had by all, and we also got to spend a short time with Heidi and my Great Nephew, Marshall.
* My Red Hat Group had lunch together and I also met my former staff from Apache Mall for dinner one night.
* My friend, Carol and I were the show chairs for my Sweet Adeline chorus show which is coming up on Nov. 21st. So needless to say, I have taken on most of the show chair stuff. It's okay, I am not complaining, it just has kept me very busy.
* Now this coming Wed. my red hat group is meeting at a wonderful bakery in Byron, MN.
* My Grandson, Chad turned 23 years old yesterday!
* I also have some news, as I am about to go back to the mall and sell gift cards. The company who took over when I retired is hiring people to work at the GSC from Thanksgiving until Christmas eve. I will be part-time and only responsible for myself. I will let you know how it works out.
* And as with all of you, December is always a busy month.
* This snow shower also happened in October. We got six inches!
