Great time in Seattle!

A couple of weeks ago I flew with my sister to Seattle, Washington.  We stayed with my niece, Heidi, her husband Chad and my sweet 3 1/2 year old nephew Marshall.  It was great fun getting to know Marshall.  He is so smart and witty.  He knows almost everything there is to know about trains.
While there we visited an Air Museum and got to walk through this former Presidential Air Force 1.  It was quite a fabulous museum.

We also took a light rail train from the SeaTak airport to downtown Seattle and then the monorail to the Space Needle.  That was a lot of fun to watch Marshall on both of those trains.  We also walked down to Pike's Market.
Next we made our way up to Paradise on Mt Rainier.  This is a model in the new visitors center and it had buttons that light up to show where things are on the mountain.  Paradise is the furthest you can drive on this side and it has a huge hotel.  The next picture is Marshall standing close to the hotel with snow all around him.

My sister and I used Heidi's car for two days and went up to Hwy 2, thru Steven's Pass and down to a small Bavariun Village called Leavenworth.  It's like visiting Austria, Germany and Switzerland.  We stayed over one night in a Bed & Breakfast.  All of the townsfolk who work in the stores wear bavariun clothes.  There is music playing all over town.  We took a drive the first night out a ways and saw acres of fruit trees.  this next picture is of berries.

On our way back on Hwy 2 we stopped at a rest area called Deception Falls.  They are absolutely breathtaking.  I took pictures and also a video which you can click on the arrow below

A little blurry but this is just a part of Marshall's train set up in his room.
