Donna and I got ready and did a little shopping along with stopping at Long John Silvers for lunch. We both had tickets to go to the Revue for both the afternoon and evening shows.
The dance revue was "A Tribute to the USO". I think the average age of the group is around 65 years young. These ladies are very committed and attend rehearsal twice a week. Some of them are in the area year round and some are gone during the summer months. My hats off to them for being so committed and great.
They open the show with a Military Medley. They dance to a variety of music mostly from the 40's era. Songs like "Side By Side", "Toot Toot Tootsie", Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy",
"Pennsylvania 6-5000", "I've Got Rhythm", "Rosie the Riveter" and "Thanks for the Memories".
After the afternoon show we took the golf cart back to the condo. Pudge had all the fixings set up for a lot of their friends for happy hour.
Then around 6 PM we went back to the auditorium for the evening show. We were able to sit in the front row for this show. It was a very fun day.
Pat is going to be President of this group soon and I know she will do a great job. She really enjoys the ladies and the tap dancing. It really does show. I am very proud of her.
