Day 10 &11 Quebec City, Canada

Montmorency Falls
Apple Orchard on the Island

All I can say is WOW! This city in Canada is really neat. So very quaint and cool and beautiful.
This city is at a very narrow part of the St Lawrence seaway. It has an upper and lower town. To get to the upper part we took a cable car up and what a gorgeous sight. It is very well known for the Chateau Frontenac. It is a very expensive hotel with a copper dome which can be seen for many miles. Close by is also a beautiful Catholic church. Lots of street entertainers. We walked into a lot of the small cosy stores, one of which was a beautiful painter. It also has the Basilica of Notre-Dame.
Pat and I also took a bus tour around the city and out to the Montmorency Falls. They cascade down a 272-foot cliff. Montmorency Falls are 1.5 times as high as Niagara Falls. After that our bus crossed over a long, high bridge to an island and went around it. It was very quaint and had fall strawberry fields and Apple orchards. The fall color here was just spectacular.
This was another one of our Formal nights in the dining room. And at the Celebrity Theater was a show which was a tribute to legendary stars and their unforgettable music! It was fantastic.
Absolutely loved this place.

I would have enjoyed Quebec City and the bus tour, too. That little house with the front porth is neat!
