Our hotel was right in times square. We met our group and walked about two blocks to Ellen's Diner for breakfast. All of the wait staff were "theatrical wanabee's". They each took turns performing for us during breakfast. Then we boarded our tour bus and headed thru times square, to Wall Street, past the protesters and to the 9/11 Memorial Fountains. They are so Soothing, Memorable, Beautiful, Peaceful and so much more. We met a family from Italy who were there to visit a son & nephew who had worked for Cantor Fitzgerald in one of the towers.
This tour will always be a hilite of this entire 17 days. From there we walked to St Paul's Church. this is the small church that was used by the New York Fire Department and any of the rescue workers after the collaspe of the buildings.
Then we got back to our bus and proceeded to Grand Central Station. We had lunch in a food court and walked around. Then we went to the United Nations Building. I went to the Gift Shop, lots of neat things, but very expensive. When we all got back to the bus and took a head count, Donna was missing. She had two fainting spells in the restroom and we then took a ride in an ambulance to the New York University Hospitals ER. Spent 8 hours there and Pat and I can someday write a book about it. Pat and I got back to the hotel about 11:15 PM, ate a sandwich and collasped.

I can't thank you and Pat enough for staying with me in the ER and then up in my room. Without your help on Sunday morning, I would have had big problems getting my luggage from the hotel before going to the airport later on Sunday afternoon.
That was quite a day. I went back to Times Square after we ate our sandwich which was about midnight. Boy!! That was an experience also. Really enjoyed that.
