Day 17 of my fall cruise

The ship was docked at Cape Liberty in Bayonne, NJ to start the disembark procedure. Pat and I got up early to get ready, go up and have breakfast in the Waterfall Cafe on deck 10. This was the huge Buffet that covered almost half of the entire 10th floor.
After breakfast, we double checked the room #317 to make sure we hadn't left anything behind. Then we met our tour group, Post Bulletin, in the Celebrity Theatre. We were given a # to be called for our group to start the process of leaving the ship. Our group had a bus waiting to take us to the Statue of Liberty. We were suppose to be able to walk around the base of the statue, possibly have a snack and go to the gift shop. Then we were going to go on to Ellis Island.
Those plans had to be adjusted a little because of the time it took to disembark. We simply got to take the ferry out to the statue and Ellis Island, but we were not able to get off.
So on to LaGuardia airport. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful bus ride. Went thru China town and past the Brooklin Bridge. Our flight home was smooth and although we missed having Donna with us, it was a wonderful and memorable trip. Pat is such a great roommate and travel companion.
