Day # 13 - Charlottetown, P.E.I.

The Lake of Shining Waters

Raspberry cordial and Anne Shirley

Pat and I had a tour starting at 11:45 am to go to the Anne of Green Gables Museum and tour. So we got off the ship in the morning and got on a DoubleDecker Pink Bus. these are great in that you can tour the entire town and then if you choose to you can hop on and hop off at many stops.
At the end of one tour you get on another bus to tour another part of the town. This one went to the Cows Creamery. It is known as Canada's Best Ice Cream.
Then on a much more plush bus to the North Shore. We went down a two lane narrow road past many small villages, lakes and rivers, saw lakes with Mussel nets and more. Prince Edward Island is known for its red cliffs and soil.
We toured the museum, drank some Raspberry cordial, had a horse and buggy ride with the help of Matthew. It really brought Anne Shirley to life.
All of our tour guides were great. Really knew their facts and told many stories and added some comedy also.
This was a real special day, and we knew the whole time how much Donna wanted to be on this tour.

Yes, this is the place I wanted most to see. Your pictures are nice. Green Gables looks so lush and peaceful.

I would have loved the carriage ride with Matthew and seeing Green Gables.

Pat looks cute in the Anne Shirley hat - complete with the red (carrots) braids!
